OLMV Hosts Debate Between 5th Congressional Candidates

SALEM, Ore. — 5th Congressional candidates Republican Mike Erickson and Democrat State Senator Kurt Schrader will debate Monday, Sept. 22, at a free event organized by the Oregon League of Minority Voters (OLMV) and Willamette University.

The debate begins at 5:30pm in Cone Chapel, Waller Hall, at Willamette University. The event is open to the public. No tickets are necessary. Doors open at 5pm.

Willamette University President M. Lee Pelton will moderate the debate. OLMV board members will serve on the debate panel.

The debate will focus on poverty issues that challenge low-income citizens and people of color in both urban and rural areas throughout Oregon.
